Diagnostic Reagents
Diagnostic applications:
Ferrozine - 3-(2-Pyridyl)-5,6-diphenyl-1,2,4-triazine-p,p′-disulfonic acid monosodium salt CAS 28048-33-1
Usage: Iron Reagent
DAPI 2-(4-Amidinophenyl)-6-indolecarbamidine dihydrochloride CAS 28718-90-3
Usage: Fluorescent dye binding selectively to DNA. For demonstration of mycoplasmas and viruses in cells. For fluorescent chromosome staining. Dye for brain stem.
2,3,5 Triphenyl tetrazolium Chloride CAS 298-96-4
Usage: Chromogenic substrate for dehydrogenase
Tetrazolium Red is used to visualise dehydrogenase enzyme activity. Initially the tetrazolium solution is colorless but changes to red when it comes into contact with hydrogen. Tetrazolium red is used in a biochemical viability test for seeds. The test relies on dehydrogenase enzymes to release hydrogen ions which subsequently reduce the colorless tetrazolium salt solution to a red compound called formazan. Living cells turn red, while dead cells remain colorless.
Xylidyl Blue Na salt CAS 14936-97-1
Usage: Colorimetric reagent for Mg detection
Arsenazo III CAS: 1668-00-4
(under development) Usage: Calcium-sensitive dye, Ca2+ determination in micromolar amounts
5-Aminofluorescein CAS:3326-34-9
Usage: Glycosaminoglycuronan labeling
Pt(II) meso-Tetra(pentafluorophenyl)porphine CAS 109781-47-7
Usage:as an optical oxygen sensor in a variety of applications and materials and as a pressure indicator. 1,2 It has been incorporated into nanoparticles and nanotherapeutics for a wide variety of sensor uses incorporating enzymes and antibodies among others .
alpha-Naphtholbenzein CAS 145-50-6
Usage: as an Indicator - high purity
Darrow Red CAS 15391-59-0
used for staining neuron cell bodies in paraffin or frozen samples of formalin fixed spinal cord or brain.
Tetrabromphenolblue CAS 4430-25-5
used for protein determination
5-Aminoindole CAS 5192-03-0
used in diagnostic and pharma industry
Nuclear Fast Red Ammonium Salt (C.I.60760) CAS 84100-72-1
Nuclear fast red (CI 60760), also known as Kernechtrot, is commonly used in conjunction with an excess of aluminum ions as a red nuclear counterstain following histochemical procedures that yield blue products. The dye has also been used as a histochemical and colorimetric reagent for calcium.
